The year 2020 has brought many challenges; however, iVisa.com has made sure that obtaining your photo for the diversity lotto is not one of them. The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, also known as the green card lottery, makes up to 50,000 immigrant visas available annually, drawn from random selection among all entries of individuals who are from countries with the lowest rates of immigration into the United States.

There is a limited duration of time during which you can register for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program each fiscal year. Within each year, the Department of State publishes detailed instructions on how to enter the Program. These instructions include the dates of the registration time period during which you will be able to enter.

Currently, you have from Wednesday October 7th at noon EST until Tuesday November 10th, 2020 at noon EST to register online through the State Department’s Official Diversity Visa Website. All of the entries must be submitted electronically on the official website. Make sure to honor the registration dates as no late entries or paper entries are accepted.

If completing the form on your own is daunting, or you just want the extra assurance of a Team of Experts who will review your form, then fill out the entry form with iVisa.com. After checking your form for any problems, we will ensure your form is submitted to the official site. The advantage of filling out the form with iVisa.com is that we provide clear instructions and review your application to minimize the chance of mistakes. Please be aware that we offer assistance with this portion of the application process only, and there are other steps you need to take if your application is selected.

The Department of State’s regulations require all entrants to provide their current passport number at the time of the Diversity Visa Program entry, unless they are unable to obtain a passport and fall under one of three limited exemptions.

*If you do not possess a current and valid passport at the time of the application, you should consider not completing the Diversity Visa Program application, as you must enter that number on your Diversity Visa Program entry.

*Additionally, if you selected an exemption from the passport requirement and you do not meet the requirements for that exemption, this may cause a disqualification and any fees you pay for the visa application will not be refunded.

You will find it encouraging that the Diversity Visa lottery is open to natives of countries that have historically low rates of immigration into the United States. This means that individuals from countries with high rates of U.S. immigration are not eligible to register as the chances of entry are already good and this program was designed to help those whose chances are lower. Those who cannot register because their country of birth is excluded may be able to qualify through a partner/spouse who was in fact, born in an eligible country or, in certain circumstances, through a parent’s country of birth, so please do not be discouraged. There is still a chance.

If you are from one of the following countries, you fall on a list that is barred from applying to the Diversity Visa Program this year. Those born in the following countries are currently not eligible: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Hong Kong SAR), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) as well as its dependent territories, and Vietnam. People born in Macau SAR and Taiwan can participate.

*A good thing to remember is that all applicants must have obtained a high school education (or the equivalent) or at least two qualifying years of work experience.

*All applicants must submit an online form and a digital photo through the official Diversity Visa lottery website. Diversity Visa program lottery applicants may include in their submission a spouse (or even a same-sex or opposite-sex partner) and all of their children. If you choose to fill out the entry form with iVisa.com’s services, we will make sure it is submitted to the proper authorities.

*Only one entry is permitted per person. If there are multiple registrations referring to one person, all of the submissions are immediately disqualified.

*Applicants must carefully follow the State Department’s official lottery instructions. Lottery entries and digital photos that do not precisely conform to the instructions will be disqualified.

For the fiscal year of 2022, the main applicant must enter the information from his or her valid international travel passport document unless the applicant is stateless, a national of a Communist controlled country and unable to obtain a passport from the government of the Communist controlled country, or the beneficiary of an individual waiver approved by the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of State.

Once the application is accepted, applicants will receive a confirmation number, which can be used to check the status of their application. It is absolutely important that the information that you provide for the Diversity Lottery Program is correct and up to date. A major component of the application is the passport, and iVisa.com can assist you with obtaining your photos for the creation of your passport. The iVisa.com passport photos application is the perfect tool to get you started with the process.

The Passport photos app provided to you by iVisa.com is an app that allows you to take photos in the comfort of your own home for passport submissions. Please note that this service can also assist with the creation of additional identification photos such as state-issued identification cards or government IDs. With this application, a clear blank white wall, and a little help from a friend you can capture the perfect identification photo and then submit it to iVisa.com so that our team of experts can make sure that the photo meets governmental regulations that allow you to easily obtain the identification of your choosing. In this case, you need an appropriate passport photo so that the authorities have the necessary document for the Diversity Visa Program application. Get started today on your DV Lottery entry form application.

The Diversity Visa Program has provided a great opportunity for those wanting to be able to visit the United States and hail from countries where entries are less likely to be admitted. The passport is a necessary part of the application and approval will most likely not be acquired if the passport is not held and valid prior to the application date. iVisa.com provides many travel documentation services to travelers around the globe. We are proud to offer our photo services to create and obtain passport photos that will help you get the necessary document that makes your Diversity Visa Program dreams real!
